Taking a step back to move forward is often beneficial. There are different reasons to do it and not all methods include it, but a deload week is worth consideration and may work for you as it did for me.
Fitness is very important, but it should never be used to bypass or dismiss conversations about overall health and other life and health issues.
We can discuss the football. We can even discuss how great of a player Ronaldo is and how much impact his activities can have. With all the exchanges surrounding his Coca Cola snub, there was one important conversation missing.
The fitness mistake I made all those years ago still has lasting consequences today. However, I have no regrets. I lost the weight and am physically strong, fit, and healthy. But maybe others can learn from it.
Count my steps? I have no aspiration to reach the ‘magic’ number of 10,000 in the slightest. But a quick glance at my step count did make me think.
