It’s thirteen days into the new year, and he’s on a twelve-day gym streak. Proud of it, but also admitting he probably won’t be around much longer. New Year fitness goals: too much, too soon, and built on a mindset that expects failure. Real progress doesn’t come from extremes, it comes from sustainability, recovery, and long-term thinking.
At fourteen, I made a quiet commitment that shaped my fitness journey, and now, decades later, I’m learning to keep that promise again.

t’s difficult to say one way or the other because both are important. But I have to say that this option of a quick fix will only bring with it other issues as well as remove everything good that comes with the actual journey.
It turns out you can’t have your cake… at the office. But if it’s there, you can eat it too. Unhealthy as it is, comparing it to second hand smoke may just be the real the problem after all.
