Count my steps? I have no aspiration to reach the ‘magic’ number of 10,000 in the slightest. But a quick glance at my step count did make me think.

Count my steps? I have no aspiration to reach the ‘magic’ number of 10,000 in the slightest. But a quick glance at my step count did make me think.
Tomorrow will bring its own set of challenges. Sometimes, the time just isn’t right, but more often than not, it’s not the time that is the obstacle.
Even with the mental preparation of knowing that the challenge will continue, it’s still a struggle. It’s coping within the tunnel while moving towards the light at the end of it that is critical.
I train because I enjoy it, but it affects me, and with the social norms and all the comments I get, it’s been on my mind. How do I reconcile my more muscular physique with my femininity?
Why should I even bother with my new year’s resolutions, setting goals, or even making any plans for 2021?
Leave it to 2020 to toss me one more challenge in its final days. A milestone birthday in a global pandemic. All those plans thought out have been put on hold. But it’s the personal introspection that it will affect most for me. It is in fact where fitness meets my life.
It’s important to pace your physical activity and fitness. Fatigue is common when we overwork ourselves and current circumstances can increase its effect. Work on your fitness, but also its sustainability. Are you starting to feel the onset of fatigue or lower energy levels?
It took convincing, but it’s been pleasant finding joy in running again.
